Butler Panhellenic Association

Representatives from each of the seven sororities comprise Butler’s Panhellenic Association. The primary focus of Panhellenic is to foster unity and encourage high standards among all sorority members and to work for the good of Butler University and its students. In addition, Panhellenic coordinates sorority recruitment, sponsors philanthropic and service initiatives, and collaborates with the Interfraternity Council and other student organizations to sponsor all-campus events.

Panhellenic Creed

“We, as undergraduate members of women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities. We, as fraternity women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.” - National Panhellenic Conference

    Sisterhood

The Panhellenic Association aspires to create an environment where every member feels safe and accepted within our community. Each of our seven chapters consists of unique individuals from diverse backgrounds. While each individual is different, the women of these organizations are bonded through the shared values that their organization has been built upon. Members of each organization are bonded together in a sisterhood built on love, friendship, and support.

    Philanthropy & Service

Service and Philanthropy are at the core of Panhellenic life. The Panhellenic Association at Butler University strives to better our community through philanthropic events that benefit a variety of causes. In the Spring 2024 semester alone, Butler’s Panhellenic sororities raised over $90,000 for their philanthropic missions. Each Panhellenic organization participates in service projects that support their individual philanthropies, as well as community-wide philanthropic efforts. In addition to bettering the community, philanthropy serves as a source of unity amongst Panhellenic organizations at Butler University as chapters come together to support one another’s fundraising efforts.
